Trips

We offer both lobster trips and bottom fishing. Spend a few hours on the sound with Captain Pete and see all the beauty it has to offer, including landmarks like our namesake, Target Rock, the Huntington Lighthouse and Eaton's Neck Lighthouse/Coast Guard Station. Get hands on experience on what a day in the life of a lobsterman is like, pulling traps and banding lobsters, and learn fishing tips and tricks from a pro!

Lobster trips start at $100/person (subject to market price). We offer morning, afternoon and late afternoon trips. Each trip is approximately 2.5 hours and every person on a lobster trip takes home one lobster, with more available for purchase. We have a touch tank on board, and passengers will get to band lobsters and learn how to pull in traps.

Bottom Fishing Charters start at $600 plus gratuity for a half day trip and $1,050 plus gratuity for full day. We are a six pack charter boat, specializing in bottom fishing - porgies, fluke, blackfish and various other bottom species. Bait and tackle are both included!Add a Lobster Excursion to a fishing trip for $30/person! If you are looking for open boat fishing trips, make sure to check our social media - all open boat trips will be posted and filled on a first come, first serve basis._{Please note that lobster trips have a 4 passenger minimum to set sail - if you do not book all 6 slots, your trip will be shared with other folks. Much like a good puzzle, we will fit your group together with another party for an enjoyable trip out on the sound! Captain Pete reserves the right to cancel or reschedule trips for any reason he deems necessary, including but not limited to: Severe weather, mechanical issues, and disorderly conduct. However, rain, drizzle and fog are not subject to cancellation as they are not considered unsafe conditions, and trips will not be cancelled due to the absence of sun.}

About Your Captain

Captain Pete has been lobstering on the Long Island Sound since he was a teenager. In addition to lobstering and clamming, he also can be found as a co-captain on various deep sea fishing trips. He is always excited to share his love of the sea with others and teach them how to fish, young and old! The Diane is a 31 foot BHM down-east lobster boat built in Maine in 1989. It has been an active lobster boat since it was built, and still currently lobstering. The boat has been completely refurbished over the last year with fully updated electronics and engine. The Diane is equipped with all US Coast Guard certified safety equipment.
